Supplies for Soldiers was founded by the wives of deployed Guardsmen to help improve the morale & welfare of our local troops deployed in harm's way. The troops we support come from all over the California central coast, and beyond. All of the Soldiers on our mailing list have local ties to our community. We are a small community that has been hit hard with the recent deployments. We currently have over 80 men and women serving their country all over the world.
We are committed to supporting our men and women who bravely volunteer to wear the American uniform for the United States of America by sending Care Packages as well as personal messages of support and basic items that are not readily available to our troops in their deployed location. We will support our troops overseas, their spouses, friends, and families until every local service person comes home.
We can only accomplish our mission through community volunteers and donations from caring people like you. You can help support our men and women in many ways. Please visit our HOW YOU CAN HELP page to find out more information.
Together we can put a smile on their face by letting them know their community appreciates their sacrifice and will support them while they are serving our country.
Thank you for caring about our troops! ~Supplies for Soldiers |

Cell Phones for Soldiers hopes to turn old cell phones into more than 12 million minutes of prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops stationed overseas in 2007. To do so, Cell Phones for Soldiers expects to collect 15,000 cell phones each month through a network of more than 3,000 collection sites across the country.
The phones are sent to ReCellular, which pays Cell Phones for Soldiers for each donated phone - on average, each phone represents 60 minutes of talk time for our troops.
“Americans will replace an estimated 130 million cell phones this year,” says Mike Newman, vice president of ReCellular, “with the majority of phones either discarded or stuffed in a drawer. Most people don’t realize that the small sacrifice of donating their unwanted phones can have a tremendous benefit for a worthy cause like Cell Phones for Soldiers.”
Cell Phones for Soldiers was founded by teenagers Robbie and Brittany Bergquist from Norwell, Mass., with $21 of their own money. Since then, the registered 501c3 non-profit organization has raised almost $1 million in donations and distributed more than 400,000 prepaid calling cards to soldiers serving overseas.
“Cell Phones for Soldiers started as a small way to show our family’s appreciation for the men and women who have sacrificed the day-to-day contact with their own families to serve in the U.S. armed forces,” says the teens’ father, Bob Bergquist. “Over the past few years, we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of others. But, we have also seen the need to support our troops continue to grow as more troops are sent overseas for longer assignments.”
Through increased fundraising efforts, the Bergquist family hopes to raise more than $9 million in the next five years to fund new programs, such as providing video phones with prepaid service to allow soldiers abroad to see their families on a regular basis.

The Armed Forces Foundation

There is a moment in the life of each soldier...
The moment when they receive the call that they must leave their homes, families, friends, and life, behind to defend a greater good. At this moment, they are ready, willing, and able to defend the ideals of a nation…a nation that puts our trust in them to keep us safe and to make us proud. This moment is called, the call of duty. The call of duty is one of the hardest, and yet most rewarding, commitments in the life of any serviceman or woman. Their mission is clear, and they commit themselves 100%.
The Duty of the Armed Forces Foundation is also clear. The Foundation is committed 100% to serving the needs of our men and women in uniform and assisting them in their time of greatest need. It is our honor, our duty and our privilege to aide those men and women, in their selfless sacrifice of service to our country.

Sponsor a Backpack for a Wounded Soldier
|
|
Your generous donation to the Wounded Warrior Project enables us to help the thousands of wounded soldiers returning home from the current conflicts and to provide assistance to their families. As the number of wounded steadily increases, it is easy to see how the needs of these brave individuals also increase. Your tax deductible gift will provide comfort to wounded, ease the financial burden on their families, and speed the recovery process.
A donation of $99 or more purchases a filled backpack for one soldier with much-needed comfort items such as toiletries and other personal goods. When you purchase the backpack, you will be given an opportunity to write a message of thanks and hope to the soldiers who receive the backpacks, showing them that their fellow citizens care about them and appreciate their bravery and courage. Your message will be placed on a luggage tag that will be attached to the backpack.
